Eddie Bauer® Pop-Up Booster Seat

Product Description

Eating out or visiting friends and family just got easier with this lightweight, portable booster seat. This compact design makes it simple to take along, and the buckle system ensures a secure fit. A three-point harness holds children steady, and the padded seat keeps them comfortable.

My 6 month old baby fell backwards, chair and all, in this seat. Use a high chair with legs that pyramid out. This product is not safe.

Several friends loved this seat so I bought it too. But it was a mistake. Materials are of poor quality. Both nylon clips for strapping it down to the seat and back of the chair broke within 12 months. One broke after just a few months but the other eventually did too .. cheap plastic. Also the seat caved in long before our son reached 30 pounds.
The 'first years' booster we own is much older and none of the clips on it have ever failed so it isn't us. It's this seat and its poor materials.

We received this chair as a baby shower gift. We love it!! My son is now more than 2&1/2 and we still use it all of the time. If fact we used it tonight. He is close to the weight limit of 30lbs now and it is still working well. We get so many compliments on the chair people just think it is so neat...and it really is.
Pros: 1. Your child doesn't have to sit in a dirty restaurant highchair or booster. 2. Very portable, folds up almost flat, lightweight, and easy to use. 3. Keeps your kiddos secure and still. 4. Very comfortable (or so says my son) 5. Cons: 1. A little hard to clean (*see below). 2. You can't use it in a booth. 4. It would be nice if there were a place to store the straps that attach to the booster to the chair so they didn't just hang down when it is folded up. 5. It is a little awkward to attach the booster bottom straps to the bottom part of the chair, you have to get down on your knees or stick your butt up in the air. (In fairness, any chair like this would have this problem) We just never buckle the bottom strap anymore and it still holds my son just fine...but I wouldn't do that with a baby or a wiggly kiddo.

*Tip for cleaning: I take mine out on the back porch, hose it down with water, use a tiny bit of Ivory dish soap, and scrub it with a small kitchen brush similar to a toothbrush but a little larger. This method seems to get it pretty clean. The fabric has proven very durable.

After close to three years of use I'm impressed with this little seat. The pros far outweigh the cons and I would purchase this product again without hesitation. It is well worth the money so much, so we will be getting one soon for our new daughter.

The idea is great. But the materials this booster seat is made of can't be good to breathe in for anybody, esp. kids. It smells hurrendous. I aired it outside for a lot of hours - it didn't help. I put it out in the garage. It still smells horrible after a week. I am planning on writing to the manufacturer to request some info on the materials this seat was made of.

We have an 11 month old son. We tend to eat out a lot, either in restaurants or at friends houses. I have never liked the wooden highchairs at restaurants as they are usually broken and my baby finds them uncomfortable.

And while visiting friends or family we used to have to hold him in our lap while we eat (as most of our friends don't have loaner highchairs for us). This booster seat is wonderful.

We just got it this weekend, we were visiting some friends in another state. We used it in several restaurants, it was super easy to use and we used it on many different kinds of chairs. The padding makes it really comfortable and the straps that secure it to the chairs work really well.

At our friends house it was nice to have a special sitting spot for him, without a bulky highchair.

The chair folds up small and I could easily carry the baby, the diaper bag and the chair with out feeling too bogged down.

Two thumbs up!

This pop-up seat is great for at the table or on the go. My one-year old loves it! It sits him up a lot higher at the table than if we use the high chair at the table. It is so convenient to take places where we know there won't be somewhere for him to sit. It's great for restaruants too because he is very wiggly and it keeps him seated and he's comfortable in it unlike those restaraunt highchairs!

I didn't register for this item, but ended up receiving it from a friend. She must have known how much I would end up liking it! We've used it to go out to dinner and my daughter will sit in it for the whole meal. It is much better than those wooden high chairs that most restaurants have. It sets up and folds up very easily and is very lightweight. I highly recommend this item!
